Quick answer

Where should you play Big Bass Splash?

At a UKGC-licensed casino that shows a high RTP for it. If you plan to take a welcome offer, check whether its spins are on this game. Of the casinos here that give a figure, MrQ, Grosvenor Casinos, Midnite Casino and Mecca Games showed the highest, 94.60%, while five gave 92.05%. None showed the studio's 96.71% for the standard game, though MrQ's own version, Big Bass Q The Splash, does. The game came out in June 2022, the fifth in Pragmatic Play's Big Bass fishing series. Welcome spins on it come from Grosvenor Casinos (100 at 10p) and 666 Casino (20 at 10p). MrQ, Midnite Casino and 32Red put theirs on it too, on their own sites, but our cards for them show other offers. The same game can show a different RTP from one casino to the next, so check the figure on its info screen where you play.

All 19 casinos here held an active UKGC licence when we checked (6 and 12 October 2026), and each card has the details.

Big Bass Splash RTP and welcome spins at each casino

The casinos above in the same order, going by each operator's own pages and game data on 12 October 2026. Pragmatic Play's own figure for the game is 96.71%. "Yes on its site" means the casino's own site put its welcome spins on this game while our card shows a different offer. We've left out Los Vegas, Betway, Casumo, VoodooDreams and Hyper Casino, whose UK sites wouldn't load for us or sent us to an international version.

How we checked these casinos

Licences first. We looked up every casino on this page on the Gambling Commission's public register, and every one had an active licence (6 and 12 October 2026). Each card's licence number links to its entry.

Then the game. On 12 October 2026 we read each casino's own Big Bass Splash page where it had one, its game data, any branded version of the game it runs and its welcome offer terms, logged out: the RTP it shows, the stakes it lists, and whether its welcome spins or bonus can be used on Big Bass Splash. Where the offer on a casino's own site differed from our card, the card says so. The UK sites of five casinos wouldn't load from where we ran our checks, or sent us to an international version, and two more wouldn't show us their casino lobby; their cards say which.

The game details come from Pragmatic Play's and Reel Kingdom's own pages and the rules screens of Pragmatic's free demo, and the UK rules from the Gambling Commission. We didn't deposit or play for real anywhere for this page, and withdrawal times are the operators' own figures, read on 6 and 12 October 2026. Our page on how we rank casinos explains the rest of our method.

Big Bass Splash game details

Big Bass Splash is a 5-reel, 3-row, 10-payline fishing slot. Pragmatic Play announced its launch on 23 June 2022 as the fifth game in its Big Bass series, and publishes a 96.71% RTP and a 5,000x top win, more than double the original's 2,100x. These are the figures that matter if you play in the UK:

From Pragmatic Play's and Reel Kingdom's own pages, the rules screens of Pragmatic's free demo and the Gambling Commission. The casino RTPs are the ones the casinos on this page showed on 12 October 2026.

What's the RTP of Big Bass Splash at each UK casino?

Lower than the studio's figure, at every casino here that shows one. Pragmatic Play publishes 96.71% for Big Bass Splash, but the nine casinos on this page that show a figure for the standard game gave between 92.05% and 94.60%.

The RTP each casino gave for the standard Big Bass Splash on 12 October 2026, on its own pages or in its own game data:

Hippodrome, Sun Vegas and 32Red gave no figure for it on the pages we could read, so at those three the game's own info screen is the place to look.

RTP is the average share of the money staked that a game pays back over a huge number of spins. It won't predict an evening's play. What it does tell you is the cost of playing over time:

Put in pounds, £100 of spins costs you £3.29 at 96.71%, £5.40 at 94.60% and £7.95 at 92.05% on average over the long run. A single session can go either way, but over time the lower RTP takes more.

Casino-branded versions

Some casinos here run their own branded copy of the game next to the standard one. When we checked:

  • MrQ: Big Bass Q The Splash at 96.71%, above the 94.60% it shows for the standard game
  • Grosvenor Casinos: Grosvenor Big Bass Splash at 94.60%, the same as the 94.60% it shows for the standard game
  • Kwiff: kwiff Big Bass Splash (we couldn't read its RTP)
  • Midnite Casino: Big Bass Midnite Splash at 94%, below the 94.60% it shows for the standard game

The branded game pages we could read give the same 5,000x top win as the standard game, but the RTP doesn't have to match, so compare the two if your casino has both.

Whichever version you pick, the figure that counts is the one inside the game. A UK-licensed casino has to make a game's rules, and its RTP or odds of winning, easy to find before you play. In Big Bass Splash they're on the rules pages behind the "i" button. For RTPs on other slots, see our slot sites comparison.

Which welcome offers give free spins on Big Bass Splash?

Five of the casinos here put their welcome spins on Big Bass Splash itself when we checked, going by their own sites, and Sun Vegas lets you play its spins on it as one of seven games. For three of those five, the casino's own offer isn't the one on our card.

How the welcome offers on this page treat Big Bass Splash, going by each operator's own terms on 12 October 2026:

  • MrQ: On its own site: 100 spins on Big Bass Splash at 10p (£10 of spins) for a £10 first deposit, used within 48 hours, with no wagering on what they win. That's a different offer from the one on our card.
  • Grosvenor Casinos: Yes: 100 spins on Big Bass Splash at 10p (£10 of spins). What they win is paid as bonus money with 10x wagering on Big Bass Splash within 7 days, and at most £100 of it can be turned into cash. The £40 bonus can be played on it too, as one of 18 games.
  • Midnite Casino: On its own site: 100 spins on Big Bass Splash at 10p (£10 of spins) with a promo code, after a £20 deposit and £20 spent on five named slots, Big Bass Splash one of them. The spins expire 7 days after they're added. That's a different offer from the one on our card.
  • 32Red: On its own site: 320 spins on Big Bass Splash at 10p (£32 of spins) when you deposit and stake £30 on slots, with 10x wagering on what they win. That's a different offer from the one on our card.
  • 666 Casino: Yes: 20 spins on Big Bass Splash at 10p (£2 of spins) once you've wagered £20 on Big Bass Splash itself, with no wagering on what they win.
  • Sun Vegas: You can play its bonus and its 100 spins at 10p on Big Bass Splash, which is one of seven games they cover. Wagering is 10x, and you've got 3 days to finish it. On its own site the match bonus is up to £100, not the amount on our card.
  • Hippodrome: Not on this game: its 100 spins are on Big Bass Bonanza at 20p. Its 100% match bonus can be played on Big Bass Splash, though, as slots count in full towards the 10x bonus wagering and Big Bass Splash isn't on its reduced or excluded lists.
  • Mecca Games: The £20 bonus can be played on Big Bass Splash (one of seven games), but the 50 spins are on Kong 3 Even Bigger Bonus.

The other welcome spins we could read were on different games: Lottomart, Virgin Bet, LiveScore Vegas and BuzzBingo. Kwiff's main offer page puts its 200 spins on Book of Dead, though a second Kwiff offer page puts the same spins on kwiff Big Bass Splash, its own version of this game. Check which slot an offer names before you count on spins for this one.

We couldn't check Gala against this game.

In theory, spins return their stake times the RTP on average, before any wagering, and any one batch can return far less, or nothing. Going by the offers on the operators' own sites: 32Red's 320 spins are £32 of play, but it doesn't show an RTP for the game, so we can't put a figure on the average return; MrQ's, Grosvenor Casinos' and Midnite Casino's 100 spins at 10p are £10 of play each, worth about £9.46 on average at 94.60%; 666 Casino's 20 spins at 10p are £2 of play, worth about £1.84 on average at 92.05%.

Besides the number of spins, look at two things: what each spin is worth, and what happens to the winnings. With no wagering, what you win is cash. With 10x wagering, a £5 win has to be played through £50 before you can withdraw it. Since 19 January 2026 the Gambling Commission has capped wagering at 10 times the bonus. Our slot sites guide explains what 10x means in practice.

The free spins you win inside the game by landing scatters aren't a casino offer at all. They belong to the paid spin that set them off, so you don't stake anything more for them.

How Big Bass Splash works

Five reels, three rows and 10 paylines that pay from left to right: the layout is the same as the first Big Bass game's. It's a Reel Kingdom game, with the studio's logo on the loading screen, and Pragmatic Play announced its launch on 23 June 2022. It has done well here since: in a November 2025 news post, Pragmatic said it had been the gambling group Entain's top-performing online slot in the UK that year.

The fish are money symbols. Each one shows a cash value on every spin, but you only collect it in the free spins, when the fisherman wild lands and reels in every fish on screen. The values are 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, 1,666x, 2,500x or 5,000x your total bet.

The base game gets a bit of help that the original didn't have. When two scatters land and a third doesn't, the game can sometimes step in, either with a nudge (the reels holding scatters drop one place and the others spin again) or with a hook that pulls a reel up to show a scatter.

Volatility is less clear-cut. Pragmatic's pages don't rate it, the game's own information screen says medium, and the casinos here that rate it mostly say high. The RTP your casino shows is the more useful number.

Big Bass Splash free spins, modifiers and retriggers

Land three scatters for 10 free spins, four for 15 or five for 20. Before the round starts, the game draws up to five random modifiers, and it can draw none at all:

  • More Fish: more fish symbols on the reels.
  • More Fisherman: more of the wilds that collect them.
  • More Dynamites, Hooks and Bazookas: the three helper features turn up more often.
  • Start From Level 2: the round begins on the second level, where collected fish already pay double.
  • +2 Spins: two extra spins at the start, and two more every time the round retriggers.

In the round, every fisherman that lands is counted. Each fourth one adds 10 spins, played once the ones you have left run out, and the fish collected in those spins are multiplied: 2x the first time, then 3x, then 10x. After that there are no more retriggers. By our count from the rules, a round can run to 50 spins, or 58 with the +2 Spins modifier. Start From Level 2 leaves only two retriggers, so a round with it tops out at 40, or 46 with +2 Spins.

Three helpers can also turn up in the round. If fishermen land with no fish, dynamite can throw some on. If fish land with no fisherman, a hook can drag a reel up to bring one in. And with fishermen but no fish on screen, a bazooka can swap every other symbol for a new one. If the round reaches the 5,000x maximum, it ends there and any spins left are lost.

Big Bass Splash max win: what's the most you can win in the UK?

The top prize is 5,000 times your stake, well over double the 2,100x of the original Big Bass Bonanza. Online slot stakes in Great Britain are capped at £5 a spin, or £2 if you're 18 to 24, so the most a single spin can pay here is £25,000, or £10,000 for younger players. At 10p a spin it's £500.

Other sites quote a £1,250,000 top win. That's 5,000 times a £250 bet, as high as Pragmatic's free demo goes, even in its UK version, but no UK-licensed casino can take a bet that size, so the figure doesn't apply here.

Some casino game pages still print figures that Great Britain's rules don't allow. When we checked, MrQ's page gave a £25 maximum bet and 666 Casino's page gave a £10 maximum bet; Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Games listed a £250,000 maximum payout and MrQ listed a £125,000 maximum payout. No UK-licensed casino can take more than £5 on a spin, so the real ceiling is the £25,000 above.

What changes when you play Big Bass Splash in Great Britain?

The Big Bass Splash you play at a UK casino isn't quite the one in videos from elsewhere. The Gambling Commission's design rules and the government's stake limits change a few things:

  • No buying the free spins. Pragmatic's international demo lets you buy the round for 100 times your bet; its UK demo has no buy button at all. In January 2020 the Commission said it had found six operators selling "feature buy-in" on slots, all six removed it, and it told other licensees to do the same.
  • No autoplay. Every spin has to be started by you.
  • 2.5 seconds a spin, at least. That's 1,440 spins an hour at most, with no turbo, quick spin or slam stop. The UK demo has no spin-speed setting.
  • Your session on screen. The casino has to show your net position (wins minus losses) and how long you've been playing. The UK demo shows a clock next to the game name.
  • No fanfare for a loss. A spin that pays back your stake or less can't get win sounds or animations.
  • A £5 stake cap, or £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, in force since April and May 2025.

You may still read about a buy on UK casino sites: 32Red's Big Bass Splash page says the bonus round can be bought for 100 times the bet, and Grosvenor Casinos' page for its own Grosvenor Big Bass Splash has a Buy Free Spins section. We didn't open those games to check, but Pragmatic's UK demo has no buy button, so treat those lines as page copy rather than a feature you can count on.

Big Bass Splash vs Big Bass Bonanza, Splash 1000 and Bigger Bass Splash

Big Bass Bonanza, Big Bass Splash and Splash 1000 share five reels, three rows and 10 paylines, while Bigger Bass Splash adds a fourth row (the casinos that list its paylines give 12). The biggest difference is the top prize. On the studio's own figures:

From Pragmatic Play's and Reel Kingdom's own pages. We found no launch date for Bigger Bass Splash on either studio's site.
GameLaunchedMax winStudio RTP
Big Bass BonanzaDecember 20202,100x96.71%
Big Bass SplashJune 20225,000x96.71%
Bigger Bass SplashNot found5,000x96.50%
Big Bass Splash 1000December 202525,000x96.52%

Next to the original, Splash adds the nudge and hook in the base game, the modifiers before free spins, and the hook and bazooka alongside the dynamite. Splash 1000 raises the top win to 25,000x, which is £125,000 at the £5 cap, and Pragmatic describes a 450x Super Free Spins buy for it, though its UK demo has no buy option.

The other Splash games follow the same pattern, with the casinos here showing figures below the studio's. What they showed when we checked, some of it from the data behind their game tiles:

  • Big Bass Splash 1000 (studio figure 96.52%): 94.53% at Grosvenor Casinos, Virgin Bet, Midnite Casino, Mecca Games and LiveScore Vegas; 92.03% at 666 Casino; 92.02% at Lottomart and BuzzBingo
  • Bigger Bass Splash (studio figure 96.50%): 94.50% at MrQ, Grosvenor Casinos, Midnite Casino and Mecca Games; 92.00% at Lottomart, Virgin Bet, 666 Casino, LiveScore Vegas and BuzzBingo
  • Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 (no studio page found): 94.50% at Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Games; 92.00% at Lottomart, Virgin Bet and LiveScore Vegas; listed without a figure at Sun Vegas, 32Red and BuzzBingo

At Virgin Bet and LiveScore Vegas, the lobby data put Big Bass Splash 1000 at 94.53% while the standard game showed 92.05%, so the newer game had the higher RTP there. Our Big Bass Bonanza page does the same comparison for the original game at these casinos.

Big Bass Splash tips: what actually makes a difference

No pattern or system changes what the next spin does. The decisions that help are the ones you make before you spin.

Start with the casino: MrQ, Grosvenor Casinos, Midnite Casino and Mecca Games showed 94.60% for the standard game, against 92.05% at five others, when we checked. Then think in hours rather than spins. At the fastest pace the rules allow, 1,440 spins an hour, 20p spins come to £288 staked, which costs about £15.55 on average at 94.60% and £22.90 at 92.05%.

Got a casino with its own branded version? Check its RTP against the standard game's. Judge welcome spins by their value and their wagering, not the headline number. Before you start, set a limit too: a UK-licensed casino has to offer you one before your first deposit.

Can you play Big Bass Splash for free?

Yes. Pragmatic Play has a free demo, and it's a decent way to watch the modifiers and the nudge in action before you spend anything. At a UK-licensed casino, though, you have to verify your age before you can play even the free version.

Two things the demo won't show you: the RTP at your casino, because it shows the studio's 96.71%, and the stakes you can really play at, because it goes up to £250 a spin.

Is Big Bass Splash legit, and what about "not on GamStop" sites?

Big Bass Splash itself is genuine. Reel Kingdom built it, Pragmatic Play released it, and a UK-licensed casino must have it tested before launch and keep checking it pays out as designed. The sites around it are another matter. Search for the game and you'll find pages calling themselves its official site, some quoting £250 stakes or crypto deposits that no UK-licensed casino offers, and others promoting casinos that aren't on GamStop. Pragmatic Play's own website is pragmaticplay.com.

Every online casino licensed in Great Britain has had to be part of GamStop since 31 March 2020, so a casino offering Big Bass Splash "not on GamStop" doesn't hold a UK licence. Each card on this page shows the casino's licence number, linked to the Commission's register, and our guide to avoiding casino scams has more checks you can make.

Big Bass Splash FAQ

Where can I play Big Bass Splash in the UK?

Big Bass Splash was in all 12 lobbies we could see on 12 October 2026; the other seven casinos here wouldn't show us theirs. Whichever you choose, open the game's info screen and check its RTP before you spin.

What is the RTP of Big Bass Splash?

Pragmatic Play publishes 96.71%, but the casinos here showed less for the standard game. When we checked, the figures were 94.60% and 92.05%, with 94.60% the highest, at MrQ, Grosvenor Casinos, Midnite Casino and Mecca Games. To see the figure your casino runs, open the game's rules with the "i" button.

Which UK casino has the best RTP for Big Bass Splash?

Of the nine casinos here that give a figure, MrQ, Grosvenor Casinos, Midnite Casino and Mecca Games showed the highest, 94.60%, when we checked. MrQ's own branded copy, Big Bass Q The Splash, showed 96.71%. The other ten showed none or we couldn't read their sites. All 19 casinos here held an active UKGC licence when we checked.

Do casinos have their own versions of Big Bass Splash?

Some do. When we checked, MrQ has Big Bass Q The Splash at 96.71%, Grosvenor Casinos has Grosvenor Big Bass Splash at 94.60%, Kwiff has kwiff Big Bass Splash and Midnite Casino has Big Bass Midnite Splash at 94%. Of the branded copies whose RTP we could read, Big Bass Q The Splash was the only one above the standard game at its casino (94.60%). The branded pages we could read give the same 5,000x top win as the standard game (we couldn't open Kwiff's), so the RTP is the thing to compare.

What is the max win on Big Bass Splash?

5,000 times your stake. With Britain's £5 cap on a slot spin that's £25,000, or £10,000 at the £2 limit for 18 to 24-year-olds, and a free spins round stops as soon as it gets there.

What is the maximum bet on Big Bass Splash in the UK?

£5 a spin if you're 25 or over and £2 if you're 18 to 24, the legal limits for online slots in Great Britain. A £250 top bet you might see matches Pragmatic's free demo, which keeps it even in its UK version; no UK-licensed casino can accept it.

How do you trigger free spins on Big Bass Splash?

Land three scatters for 10 free spins. Four get you 15 and five get you 20, and when only two show up, a nudge or a hook sometimes pulls in the third. Once you're in, each fourth fisherman adds 10 more spins with a bigger multiplier on the fish: 2x, then 3x, then 10x.

What do the modifiers do on Big Bass Splash?

Before each free spins round the game picks up to five at random: More Fish, More Fisherman, More Dynamites, Hooks and Bazookas, Start From Level 2, and +2 Spins. Each one gives that round a boost, for example by starting it at the 2x level or adding two spins every time it retriggers. Some rounds get none.

Which casinos give free spins on Big Bass Splash?

Going by the offers on this page, Grosvenor Casinos' welcome offer gives 100 spins at 10p (£10 of spins) on it; 666 Casino's welcome offer gives 20 spins at 10p (£2 of spins) on it. On their own sites, MrQ gave 100 at 10p, Midnite Casino gave 100 at 10p and 32Red gave 320 at 10p, though our cards for them show different offers. Sun Vegas' spins can be played on it as one of seven games. Check the casino's own terms before you sign up, because offers change.

Can you withdraw what you win from Big Bass Splash free spins?

It depends on the offer. MrQ's and 666 Casino's welcome spins on Big Bass Splash carry no wagering, so what they win is cash. Grosvenor Casinos, 32Red and Sun Vegas ask for 10x wagering on the winnings first, and Grosvenor Casinos turns at most £100 of it into cash. Midnite Casino's terms don't give a wagering figure for its spins. Check the full terms before you claim.

Can you get free spins on Big Bass Splash with no deposit?

Not from the casinos on this page: every welcome offer here needs a deposit. The spins on Big Bass Splash that we found all come after a first deposit, from 20 at 10p at 666 Casino to 320 at 10p at 32Red. Be wary of sites promising no-deposit spins on it without a UK licence number you can check.

Can you buy the bonus on Big Bass Splash in the UK?

No. Pragmatic's international demo has a buy for 100 times your bet, but its UK demo has none, and in 2020 the Gambling Commission had operators remove "feature buy-in" options from slots. In Great Britain you reach the free spins by landing the scatters.

Can I play Big Bass Splash for free?

Yes, in demo mode. Pragmatic Play runs a free demo of the game. If you'd rather try it at a UK-licensed casino, the casino has to verify your age before you can play its free games.

Is Big Bass Splash high volatility?

The casinos here that rate it mostly say so, but the game's own information screen calls it medium, and Pragmatic's pages don't rate it. The RTP your casino shows is the firmer number to go on.

Is Big Bass Splash better than Big Bass Bonanza?

It has the bigger ceiling: 5,000x against 2,100x, with more features to help in the free spins. On paper both pay 96.71%, but the casinos here list lower figures for both, and not always the same ones. Look at both numbers at your casino before you pick.

What's the difference between Big Bass Splash and Big Bass Splash 1000?

Splash 1000 arrived in December 2025. Its top win is 25,000x, which is £125,000 at Britain's £5 cap, against 5,000x for the original, and its studio RTP is 96.52% rather than 96.71%. You trigger the free spins the same way, and the retrigger ladder still goes 2x, 3x, 10x. The highest RTP for it at the casinos here was 94.53%, at Grosvenor Casinos, Virgin Bet, Midnite Casino, Mecca Games and LiveScore Vegas.

Is Big Bass Splash legit, or is it rigged?

It's legit. Big Bass Splash is a real Reel Kingdom slot, released by Pragmatic Play, and any UK-licensed casino offering it must have it tested before launch and keep checking that it pays out as designed. The fakes are the lookalike "official" sites around it, some quoting £250 stakes or pushing casinos that aren't on GamStop.

Can I play Big Bass Splash at casinos not on GamStop?

Not at a casino the Gambling Commission licenses. Every GB-licensed online casino has had to take part in GamStop since 31 March 2020, so a casino offering the game "not on GamStop" isn't licensed here, and you'd lose the protections that come with a UK licence, from tested games to the £5 stake cap. If you've signed up to GamStop, that block is there to protect you, and GamCare's free helpline (0808 8020 133) can help if it's hard to stick to.

Who makes Big Bass Splash, and when did it come out?

Reel Kingdom made it and Pragmatic Play released it. Reel Kingdom lists it among the games on its own website, and the game's loading screen shows the Reel Kingdom logo with "Powered by Pragmatic Play". Pragmatic announced the launch on 23 June 2022 and called it the fifth game in the Big Bass series.
