Online Slot Sites UK Compared
UKGC-licensed slot sites side by side: what the welcome spins are actually worth, the wagering on them, which deposit methods each site takes (and which ones its offer won't count), and the withdrawal times operators publish, wherever we could read them. Plus RTP, the £5 stake limit and the other UK rules. Reviewed by Arthur Smith, Editor-in-Chief.

The casinos are shown in our listing order. Each card shows the welcome offer and key terms as listed in our system. Where we could, we checked them against the operator's own site on 11 October 2026 (open "What we checked" on any card). When we checked, the offers shown for Kwiff, Midnite Casino, 32Red, MrQ, Sun Vegas and Unibet didn't match what those operators' own sites showed, so we left our spins line off those cards. Check the terms on the casino's own site before you sign up.

Which UK slot sites are worth it?
Of the welcome spins we could check against the operators' own terms, Hippodrome has the most valuable on paper: 100 at 20p, so £20 of spins, no wagering on winnings. BuzzBingo's 200 at 10p come to the same, paid as a £20 bonus, wagered 10x (£200 to play through). Lottomart (an invite-only offer) also pays spin winnings with no wagering. For paying in, eight of the sites we could check list Trustly or another pay-by-bank option and five take Paysafecard, though all of those five leave Paysafecard out of their welcome offer. Whichever you pick, slots are capped at £5 a spin, or £2 if you're 18 to 24.
All 16 casinos here held an active UKGC licence when we checked (6 and 11 October 2026), and the cards above have the rest.

How we checked these casinos
Licences first. Every casino here went through the Gambling Commission's public register, and every one came back with an active licence (6 and 11 October 2026). Each card's licence number links straight to its entry if you'd rather look yourself.
Then the slots side. On 11 October 2026 we read each operator's own offer terms, slots pages and payments pages: how many spins its welcome offer gives and what each one is worth, the wagering on the winnings, which deposit methods it lists and which ones the offer excludes. That's what you'll find under "What we checked" on 11 of the 16 cards, and where the operator's current offer differed from the one on our card, we left the spins line out rather than guess. The rest wouldn't load from where we ran the checks, or sent us to an international version, so the licence is all we could confirm for them, and their "What we checked" row says so.
We didn't deposit or play anywhere for this page, and we didn't time any withdrawals. Payout times are the operators' own figures, read on 6 and 11 October 2026. Spin values are simple arithmetic (number of spins × value per spin), and RTPs come from the studios' and operators' own pages.
What we found on each site
Notes from what each operator publishes about its slots, offers and payments on its own site, read on 11 October 2026. Withdrawal figures are the operators' own, and we didn't deposit or play anywhere for these checks.
Grosvenor Casinos
Branded slots it says you won't find elsewhere, like Grosvenor Big Bass Splash and Starlight Jackpot, plus Jackpot King, Mega Moolah and daily jackpots. It doesn't publish a slot count.
Pro: A long list of running slot promotions when we looked, including five free spins a day on selected slots for a £10 daily stake and a weekly £25K Sharepot.
Con: The £40 bonus is wagered 10x on deposit plus bonus (£600 on a £20 deposit) and only works on 18 named slots. The 100 spins are 10p each with 10x on winnings and a £100 cap, and PayPal and Paysafecard deposits don't count for the offer.

Kwiff
Says it has 4,600+ slot games. Its payments page lists debit cards, Apple Pay, Pay by Bank and Revolut.
Pro: Kwiff reckons most withdrawals are done in under 30 minutes.
Con: You won't find PayPal or Paysafecard on that payments page. And the welcome terms rule out e-wallet and virtual card deposits.

Hippodrome
The lobby draws on 28 studios, with exclusives like Arthur Kingdom of Spins Link&Win and jackpots including Mega Moolah, King Millions and WowPot.
Pro: The 100 welcome spins are 20p each on Big Bass Bonanza with no wagering on winnings, so £20 of spins.
Con: The welcome offer only counts debit card deposits (some cards excluded). It doesn't publish an RTP list either, and says each game's RTP is in its info panel.

Midnite Casino
Big lobby: 3,172 slots in its All Slots row when we looked, its own Big Bass Midnite Splash, and 20 Jackpot King titles.
Pro: Some game pages show the RTP before you log in, and there are weekly free spins for regular slot players through its casino clubs.
Con: PayPal and Paysafecard aren't on its payments list, and its own figure for debit card withdrawals is up to five business days.

Pro: A long list of deposit methods, with Trustly named, plus PayPal, Paysafecard, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Con: Its current welcome terms exclude Apple Pay, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill and Neteller deposits, and debit card withdrawals stay pending for at least 24 hours.

Lottomart
4,000+ games from studios like Pragmatic Play, Red Tiger and Nolimit City, its own Flash Pots jackpot, and exclusives such as Big Cat Gold.
Pro: The 150 spins on the card pay winnings as cash with no wagering. Game pages show the RTP too, which is how we saw Big Bass Bonanza listed at 92.05% there, below the 96.71% the studio publishes.
Con: Debit card is the only deposit method listed, and the spins offer is an invite-only one under My Promotions, so check it's on your account first.

MrQ
A smaller catalogue (it says over 900 games in all) from studios like ELK, Play'n GO and Nolimit City, plus its exclusive Squids In.
Pro: Every game page shows the RTP before you sign up, and its promotions are wagering-free.
Con: Not every game is at the RTP the studio publishes, mind. Big Bass Splash was listed at 94.60% there, against the 96.71% Pragmatic publishes.

Sun Vegas
Runs on Playtech's platform. Its payments help page lists debit cards, PayPal, Skrill, Paysafecard and NeoSurf.
Pro: One of the few sites here that lists Paysafecard and Skrill.
Con: The welcome offer is debit card only and the bonus works on seven named slots. We couldn't find RTPs published anywhere outside the games.
Sources: welcome offer · payment methods
Mecca Games
Slots from Blueprint and Pragmatic Play among others, plus Slingo and its own timed Daily Jackpots.
Pro: It says every slot's RTP is in the game menu and quotes some, Fishin' Frenzy at 96.12% for one, the top setting Blueprint lists.
Con: The welcome offer is small once you do the sums: 50 spins at 10p (£5) with 10x on winnings, a £20 bonus wagered 10x on deposit plus bonus, and £50 caps on both. PayPal and Paysafecard deposits don't count.
Sources: offer terms · slots and RTP · payment methods
BuzzBingo
Over 1,000 slots, from Blueprint, Inspired and Pragmatic Play among others.
Pro: Its own target for processing withdrawals is within an hour, though its terms allow up to five business days.
Con: The 200 "spins" are really a £20 slots bonus at 10p a spin, wagered 10x and limited to ten King Kong and Fishin' Frenzy slots. Paysafecard deposits don't count for it.
Sources: slots offer · payment methods
Unibet
Same licence holder as 32Red (Platinum Gaming Limited), with over 30 Unibet-exclusive titles.

Con: Its current welcome terms exclude Apple Pay, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill and Neteller deposits.

What free spins are really worth
Forget the big number on the banner. Spins times the value of each spin is the only sum that counts, and the two don't always move together, so 100 spins at 20p and 200 at 10p both come to £20.
Here's that sum for the welcome spins we could check against each operator's own terms on 11 October 2026: Grosvenor Casinos 100 × 10p = £10 (winnings wagered), Hippodrome 100 × 20p = £20 (no wagering), Lottomart 150 × 10p = £15 (no wagering, invite-only offer), Mecca Games 50 × 10p = £5 (winnings wagered) and BuzzBingo 200 × 10p = £20 (paid as a bonus, wagered).
That's the face value, mind, the total you'd be betting. What you'd expect to get back is lower, because the slot keeps its edge on free spins too. On a game set to a 96% RTP, £20 of spins comes back as about £19.20 on average, and on a version set to 92% it's more like £18.40. Single sessions swing well above and below that.
Then come the terms that eat into it. Wagering on the winnings is the big one. "No wagering" means whatever the spins win is yours to withdraw, while 10x means a £15 win has to be played through £150 before it's cash, and at a 96% RTP you'd expect to lose about £6 of it on the way. After that, look for a cap on what you can win or convert, a short expiry (48 hours isn't unusual), and which slot the spins are locked to.
And whether you qualify at all. Plenty of offers want a cash stake on slots first, and some won't count a PayPal or Paysafecard deposit, which is covered in the next section.
Slot sites that take Trustly, PayPal or Paysafecard
People often ask this the other way round, which sites take a given method, so here it is by method.
These are the deposit methods each operator lists on its own payments or help pages, for the 11 sites here we could read on 11 October 2026:
- Trustly by name: 32Red and Unibet
- Pay by Bank (provider not named): Grosvenor Casinos, Kwiff, Midnite Casino, MrQ, Mecca Games and BuzzBingo
- PayPal: Grosvenor Casinos, Hippodrome, 32Red, MrQ, Sun Vegas, Mecca Games and BuzzBingo
- Paysafecard: Grosvenor Casinos, 32Red, Sun Vegas, Mecca Games and BuzzBingo
- Apple Pay: Grosvenor Casinos, Kwiff, Midnite Casino, 32Red, MrQ, Mecca Games, BuzzBingo and Unibet
- Google Pay: Midnite Casino, 32Red, MrQ, BuzzBingo and Unibet
And watch the welcome offer terms on each operator's own site. Grosvenor Casinos doesn't count PayPal or Paysafecard. Kwiff leaves out e-wallets and virtual cards. Hippodrome wants a debit card deposit. 32Red won't take Apple Pay, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill or Neteller for it. Sun Vegas only counts debit card deposits for it. Mecca Games leaves out PayPal and Paysafecard. BuzzBingo wants a debit card, PayPal or Apple Pay deposit. Unibet won't take Apple Pay, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill or Neteller for it.
A few things that trip people up. "Pay by Bank" and "Instant Bank Transfer" pay straight from your bank account, much like Trustly does, but several sites don't say which company runs it, so we've only put a site under Trustly where it names Trustly itself. Paysafecard's a prepaid voucher. Fine for paying in, but you can't usually withdraw back to it, so have a bank card or account set up for cashing out. Credit cards? Banned for gambling in the UK since April 2020, e-wallets topped up from one included.
Claiming a welcome offer? Read its payment terms first, then deposit.
Bonus money on slots: what 10x actually means
Since 19 January 2026 no bonus at a UK-licensed site can ask for more than 10x wagering, under the Gambling Commission's social responsibility code. Slots usually count in full towards it, while table and live games often count for little or nothing.
The catch is what the 10x is multiplied by. Some offers apply it to the bonus alone. Others apply it to the deposit plus the bonus, which means more play for the same headline, and how much more depends on the size of the bonus against the deposit.
Where we could read the terms, "What we checked" on each card above says which way round the offer works. Two other things to look for in the terms themselves: the games the bonus can be played on (several of the offers we read limit it to a short list of named slots, between seven and eighteen of them) and the cap on how much bonus money can be turned into cash at the end.
The same January 2026 rules also stopped promotions that mix products, so you won't see "bet on the football, get casino spins" offers from UK-licensed sites any more.
RTP: why the same slot can pay back less at another casino
RTP, return to player, is the share of all the money staked on a game that it's designed to pay back as prizes, worked out over a huge number of spins. A 96% slot keeps about £4 of every £100 put through it in the long run. Over one evening it tells you very little, which the Gambling Commission's guide to RTP is quite blunt about.
Here's the bit that's easy to miss. Studios often supply the same game at several RTP settings, and not every casino runs the same one. Blueprint, for instance, lists five versions of Eye of Horus running from 90.25% to 96.31%, and five of Fishin' Frenzy from 90% to 96.12%. Same name, same bonus round on paper, and a six-point difference in what it's set to keep.
It isn't theoretical, either. When we looked on 11 October 2026, Big Bass Bonanza was listed at 96.71% by Unibet and 92.05% by Lottomart on their own pages. Same game, and a 4.66-point gap between the two figures.
So check before you play. UK-licensed sites have to make a game's RTP, house edge or odds of winning easy to find before you bet (RTS 3), and for slots that's normally in the game's info or paytable screen. If a favourite reads a few points lower than usual, the same game somewhere else may be set higher.
Volatility is the other half. A high-volatility slot pays bigger wins less often, a low-volatility one pays small wins more often, and both can have the same RTP. Studios don't always publish it in words. Blueprint shows a dot meter instead, with both Eye of Horus and Fishin' Frenzy at five dots out of five.
Four big UK slots and what their studios publish
Big Bass and Fishin' Frenzy games turn up in several of the welcome offers above, and Eye of Horus comes from the same studio as Fishin' Frenzy, so it's worth knowing what you'd actually be spinning. Figures are from the studios' own pages.
| Slot | Studio | RTP published | What happens in the bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Bass Bonanza | Reel Kingdom / Pragmatic Play | 96.71% | The fisherman wild collects fish money symbols worth up to 2,000x; every fourth wild retriggers with a 2x, 3x then 10x multiplier |
| Big Bass Splash | Reel Kingdom / Pragmatic Play | 96.71% | Same fisherman idea with up to five random modifiers before the free spins; max win 5,000x |
| Eye of Horus | Reel Time Gaming / Blueprint | 90.25% to 96.31%, five versions | 12 free games where each Horus wild upgrades a high-paying symbol |
| Fishin' Frenzy | Reel Time Gaming / Blueprint | 90% to 96.12%, five versions | 10, 15 or 20 free games where each fisherman collects the cash on every fish in view |
Two quick bits of jargon you'll see in these lobbies. Megaways is Big Time Gaming's mechanic that changes how many symbols land on each reel every spin, up to 117,649 ways to win, and other studios license it, which is why there's a Fishin' Frenzy Megaways. Jackpot King is Blueprint's progressive jackpot, the one bolted onto all the titles ending in "Jackpot King".
And one thing that won't be there for UK players: buying your way into the bonus round. The Commission told operators to remove feature buy-in slots back in January 2020.
UK slot rules: £5 a spin, 2.5 seconds and no autoplay
Online slots in Great Britain have tighter rules than anything else in the casino, and they changed again in 2025.
The big one is the stake limit. Since 9 April 2025 the most you can bet on a single slot spin is £5 if you're 25 or over, and since 21 May 2025 it's £2 if you're 18 to 24. Those come from the Gambling Commission's stake limit guidance, and they're for slots only, so roulette and blackjack tables can still take bigger bets.
The game design rules are older. Since October 2021 a slot can't do any of this for GB players:
- Spin on autoplay. Every spin has to be one you start yourself (RTS 8).
- Spin faster than once every 2.5 seconds, or offer turbo, quick-spin or slam-stop buttons that get you to the result sooner (RTS 14).
- Celebrate a "win" that pays back the same as you staked or less, the sort of fanfare-for-a-loss the rule was written to stop.
And the screen has to show how long you've been playing and your net position, wins minus losses, for the session (RTS 2 and RTS 13). Honestly, that running total is the most useful number in the whole game. Worth a glance every few minutes.
The £5 or £2 is on the total you stake per spin, so a site can't let you top up mid-spin beyond it. Free spins won inside a slot's own bonus round count as part of the spin that triggered them. And once you've asked to withdraw, the site isn't allowed to let you cancel the withdrawal and play the money instead (RTS 14 again).
Everything else that applies to UK gambling applies here too. ID checks before you can play, no credit cards (e-wallets loaded from one included), and a prompt to set a financial limit before your first deposit, with setting one as the default.
Are online slots rigged?
Not at sites licensed in Great Britain, and you can check the licence on every card above.
Before a slot can go live for GB players it has to be tested by a Gambling Commission-approved test house, and once it's live the operator has to keep checking that it pays back what it was designed to. The Commission sets out how it keeps online games fair if you want the detail. The results have to be "acceptably random", in the words of RTS 7, and a game isn't allowed to adjust its outcomes to hit a target payout.
Which isn't the same as fair to you. A slot with a 96% RTP is built to keep about 4p of every pound staked over the long run, and over enough spins it'll come close to that. Losing streaks are part of the design rather than a sign something's wrong.
Every casino on this page has its UKGC licence number on its card, linked to its entry on the Commission's public register. Sites that aren't licensed in Great Britain, the "not on GamStop" ones included, aren't held to any of these rules, so you'd have none of these protections.
Hot slots, due jackpots and other myths
A slot doesn't remember. Each spin's result comes from the random number generator at the moment you press the button, and the Gambling Commission's guide to RTP on gaming machines says it plainly: the odds in the current game aren't affected by wins or losses in previous ones.
So a slot that hasn't paid a bonus in 300 spins isn't "due" one, and one that just paid out isn't "cold" now. Same with the time of day, the day of the week, or whether you've just made a deposit. None of it moves the odds.
Whatever a "hot slots" row in a lobby is based on, it's about spins that have already happened. Past spins don't change the next one.
The one number that does mean something is the RTP, and even that only over a very long run. In a single session of a few hundred spins almost anything can happen, both ways.
Online slots FAQ
Which UK slot sites are worth a look?
How much can you bet per spin on UK online slots?
£5 a spin if you're 25 or over, since 9 April 2025, and £2 if you're 18 to 24, since 21 May 2025. The limit is on the total you stake per spin, and it's for online slots only, so roulette and blackjack aren't covered. It comes from the Gambling Commission's stake limit rules.
Are online slots rigged?
Not at UK-licensed sites. Slots have to be tested by a Gambling Commission-approved test house before release, operators must check they keep paying their designed RTP, results must be random, and games can't adjust their outcomes to hit a target. They still have a built-in edge, though, so expect to lose over time.
How much are free spins worth?
Multiply the number of spins by the value of each spin: 200 spins at 10p is £20 of spins, the same as 100 at 20p. What you'd expect to win back is a bit less, about £19.20 on £20 of spins at a 96% RTP, and wagering, win caps and expiry dates take more off.
Which slot sites give free spins with no wagering?
Of the five welcome spin offers here we could check against the operators' own terms on 11 October 2026, Hippodrome and Lottomart (an invite-only offer) pay the winnings with no wagering. "No wagering" means the winnings are paid as cash you can withdraw, though some offers still cap how much.
Which UK slot sites accept Trustly?
Only two of the sites here name Trustly itself on their payments pages: 32Red and Unibet. Grosvenor Casinos, Kwiff, Midnite Casino, MrQ, Mecca Games and BuzzBingo take Pay by Bank or an instant bank transfer too, they just don't say who runs it (we checked on 11 October 2026). It's the same idea either way, money straight out of your bank account.
Which slot sites take Paysafecard?
You can pay in with Paysafecard at Grosvenor Casinos, 32Red, Sun Vegas, Mecca Games and BuzzBingo. What you can't do, at any of them, is use it to get the welcome offer. Their own terms leave it out. And because it's a prepaid voucher, you'll want a bank card or account set up for withdrawals.
Is a slot's RTP the same at every casino?
Not always, no. Blueprint alone lists five versions of Eye of Horus, from 90.25% up to 96.31%, and casinos don't all run the top one. Here, Big Bass Bonanza showed up at 96.71% on Unibet's page and 92.05% on Lottomart's page. The game's info screen tells you which one you're on, since UK sites have to show the RTP, house edge or odds of winning before you play.
What is slot volatility?
Roughly, how lumpy the payouts are. A high-volatility slot can go a long while without much and then land something big, while a low-volatility one drips out small wins more often. Two slots with the same RTP can feel nothing alike because of it.
Can you buy the bonus round on UK slots?
No. In January 2020 the Gambling Commission told operators to remove slots that let players pay to jump straight into the bonus feature, so bonus buys aren't offered to players in Great Britain.
Why is there no autoplay on UK slots?
Because it's banned. Since October 2021 every slot spin has to be started by the player, spins can't be quicker than 2.5 seconds, and turbo, quick-spin and slam-stop buttons aren't allowed. The screen also has to show your net position and how long you've been playing.
What's the most wagering a UK casino bonus can have?
10x. Since 19 January 2026 the wagering on a bonus at a UK-licensed site can't be set higher than 10 times. Some offers apply the 10x to the deposit plus the bonus rather than the bonus alone, which means more play for the same headline.
